当年大甲妈祖绕境为八天七夜，信众不畏艰苦地追随妈祖，从台中一路步行到云林北港，最后再护驾妈祖返回大甲，完整记录了信众绕境与宗教仪式，为乡土民俗之经典作品。
The documentary follows an eight-day religious procession in which devotees journey on foot to accompany the sea goddess Mazu from Taichung to Yunlin, before escorting her back to Dajia amid vibrant rituals and celebrations.
